How Sagittarius Makes Enemies: Showoffy, Infantile, Rigid, Sinister
71What Do They Want? Attention.
Among the greatest legends of entertainment are Sagittarians such as Richard Pryor, Woody Allen, Jimi Hendrix, Jim Morrison, and Frank Sinatra. Sagittarians like Britney Spears or Miley Cyrus can be fantastically successful, especially when young. But upon reaching stardom they too often show boundless immaturity. They turn into spoiled babies who can’t grow up, who escape into drugs or delusions, even threaten suicide to get attention.
This is how Sagittarians, generally energetic and likeable, make enemies. They like groups and organizations because they want an audience wherever they are and they really can't handle being alone. They're very generous with others as long as they can be number one or at least pick all the cashews from the snack bowl. Frank Sinatra needed a personal staff of 75 people. One was paid to do nothing except carry the suitcase containing his toupees. Sagittarians are often runty and can't live it down.
Less talented Sagittarians are often just as stage-struck as the great ones, and hang around theaters, churches and sports arenas, or anywhere an audience might gather. If there’s no audience, Sagittarians can quickly stir one up by full-throated singing in the hallways at work, being obnoxious, or forcing a houseful of guests into the den to watch a “really cute” DVD.
As class clowns and office divas (maybe with super-long, tiger-striped nails), Sagittarians might seem very superficial, and some people dislike them for that reason. But Sagittarius is the sign of the philosopher, and negative Sagittarian adults easily buy into rigid belief systems and organizations that provide answers for everything. They will preach all night that that the cure for bad government is Jesus or unions or union-busting. To them, any other point of view is not only wrong, it is sinister. They can be shockingly prejudiced. A Sagittarian family member told me in all seriousness that a secret organization inside the Vatican is plotting for a one-world government and the Euro is part of the plot. You have to give them credit for clinging to their unpopular views, as did Sagittarian Jane Fonda (Dec. 21) on the issue of the war in Vietnam. She staged her support in such a way that forty years later the star is still derided as “Hanoi Jane.” Luckily, Sagittarians are adaptable, and Fonda bounced back to rule 1980s America with her workout videos. Sagittarians either work out or talk about working out. Like Tauruses, their strongest relationships are with sports and hobbies. A Taurus-Sagittarius couple can be perfectly happy agreeing to ignore each other.
Negative Sagittarians tend to have one-note personalities, and don’t grow as people. They don’t want to. Basically they want to be waited on like a baby and be the center of the universe. Underneath that sparkling Sagittarian skin might be rot. Slender, fit Jane Fonda was bulimic. A Sagittarian date bored me with his monologue: “I hate my mother. I hate my father. I’m from Springfield; I hate Springfield. . .” He couldn’t understand why women and co-workers didn't like him.
Often, Sagittarians feel resentful about one bad experience in life. Negative Sagittarians relive this experience over and over, and this way fall in love with the movies, the stage, or any other kind of performance. They think attention is love and that flattery is real. Then they will do anything to get it, or they are ripe for exploitation by unsavory people and hangers-on. When they get famous, they can’t cope.
Negative Sagittarian Avatars: Snooki (birthday Nov. 23); Anna Nicole Smith (Nov. 28); Rod Blagojevich (Dec. 10).

Holy shit, my sister to a tee! She gained all of this weight just because she thought guys weren't paying any attention to her because she had a mole on the back of her left ear! Mind you, it was on the BACK of her left ear and she still thought people could notice it. Sagittarius do love receiving attention and when my sis isn't the center of it all she becomes mean like a bull dog and acts ruhlessly to get it. Shame shame shame.
